The problem
A load-bearing legacy system was expensive to run and impossible to change safely, but it moved real freight every minute and could not go offline.
The engineering challenge
Replace the core incrementally without a big-bang cutover, keeping data consistent across old and new while the business kept running.
The solution
We wrapped the legacy system, routed traffic through a facade, and replaced capabilities one at a time behind it — measuring each with telemetry before removing the old path. Cost fell as workloads moved to right-sized services.
